Privacy Notice
Last updated: 25 July 2026
This notice explains how Caledonia Technical Partners collects, uses and protects your personal data when you contact us or use this website.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
Caledonia Technical Partners(“we”, “us”) is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are an independent market-development business based in Edinburgh, Scotland. You can contact us at any time at dylan@caledoniatechnicalpartners.com.
2. The data we collect
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- Your name and job title
- Your company name, country and website
- Your work email address
- Details you choose to provide about your products, current market coverage and preferred commercial model
- The content of your message
We do not intentionally collect special category data. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.
3. How and why we use your data (Purpose)
We use your personal data to:
- Respond to your enquiry and correspond with you
- Assess and discuss potential representation or market-development work
- Keep records of our business communications
4. Lawful basis for processing
We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR (Article 6):
- Consent — when you submit the contact form and confirm you are happy for us to respond.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to business enquiries and to operate and secure our website, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights.
5. Data retention
We keep enquiry data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Where an enquiry does not lead to an ongoing relationship, we will normally delete it within 24 months. Where we enter into a working relationship, we retain relevant records for the duration of that relationship and for any period required to meet legal or accounting obligations.
6. Third-party processors
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards:
- Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure.
- Resend — delivery of contact-form enquiry emails.
- Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly, aggregated usage analytics, loaded only where you have given consent.
We do not sell your personal data. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent) are in place.
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email dylan@caledoniatechnicalpartners.com. We will respond within one month.
8. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last reviewed.
